Nautilus-Inspired Headphones that Resonate with Excellence

Unveiling the Hailuo, Xiaomi's latest in-ear headphone, a marvel of design and technology inspired by the natural resonance of a nautilus shell. This award-winning design encapsulates the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality, offering an immersive audio experience.

Xiaomi's Hailuo, a quad-driver in-ear headphone, is a testament to the brand's commitment to innovation and superior quality. The design team, led by Creative Director Lu Chen, Graphic Designer Weijie Jiang, and Packaging Structure Designer Zhizhuang Song, drew inspiration from the nautilus shell, known for its spiral inner cavity that resonates sound. The packaging design cleverly embeds the headphone into a sliced nautilus shell image, symbolizing the product's superior sound effect.

The Hailuo stands out in the market with its unique hybrid quad drivers technology, featuring two dynamic drivers and two balanced armatures. This advanced technology allows the headphones to deliver clear, delicate, and multi-dimensional sound. The packaging design refrains from showcasing the product image, instead, it integrates the product into a nautilus shell, emphasizing the headphone's exceptional sound quality.

Realizing this design required a blend of technology and artistry. The packaging features an embossed image of the nautilus shell, created using silver paper with black ink. This combination gives the packaging a subtle sparkle, indicating high-tech aesthetics. The package size is 210 x 135 x 58mm, a compact design that encapsulates the headphones and its accessories efficiently.

Despite the challenges posed by the number of accessories and wires, the design team ensured the box's integrity and simplicity. The draw-out box structurally contains two layers, presenting the headphones and its wires at the first glance, while the accessories, including the Bluetooth adapter, are neatly tucked in the second layer.

The Hailuo is not just a product, but a testament to Xiaomi's dedication to innovation and design. The project, which started in December 2019 in Beijing and concluded in February, has already been recognized for its excellence. The design was awarded the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2020, a prestigious accolade granted to outstanding and trendsetting creations that significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.

With its unique design and advanced technology, Xiaomi's Hailuo is set to redefine the audio experience, offering a product that is not just functional, but also aesthetically pleasing. The intellectual property rights for this design belong to Xiaomi, ensuring that the Hailuo remains a unique offering in the market.
